From July 27 to 29, 2026, the U17 World Wrestling Championships were held in Baku, Azerbaijan. Athletes from the Martial Arts Palace named after Zhaksylyk Ushkempirov of the RSE "Olympic Training Center by types of Wrestling" delivered an outstanding performance, winning a total of eight medals for Kazakhstan.
In Greco-Roman wrestling, Amanali Diar (55 kg) claimed the gold medal to become a U17 World Champion. Almas Ali (48 kg) earned the silver medal, while Alinur Toleugali (71 kg) secured bronze.
In women's wrestling, Aisha Abdimalik (65 kg) won the silver medal, and Inzhu Bakkozha (46 kg) took bronze.
In freestyle wrestling, Bakdaulet Agabek (48 kg) captured the gold medal and the U17 World Championship title. Mardan Orynbasar (60 kg) and Adilet Ryspai (71 kg) each earned bronze medals.
