The application process has begun for the “Descendants of Independence” grant competition.

In Kazakhstan, the 2026 competition for the “Tәuelsizdik Urpaqtary” (“Descendants of Independence”) grant has officially been announced. This was reported by Kairat Kambarov, Chairman of the Committee on Youth and Family Affairs under the Ministry of Culture and Information of the Republic of Kazakhstan, during a press conference at the Central Communications Service.

Since 2021, by initiative of the Head of State, the grant has been awarded annually in six areas: Science, Culture, Information Technology, Business, Media, and Volunteering. Applications can be submitted via a dedicated Google Form, the link to which will be published on the official information resources of the Ministry of Culture and Information of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The application period will run until June 21 of this year. Participants must complete the form and attach all required documents. Applications submitted after the deadline will not be considered.

“Based on the results of the competition, 30 young people will be awarded grants of 3 million tenge each by the end of this year. Detailed information about the competition is available on the official website of the Ministry of Culture and Information, as well as on its official social media accounts,” the speaker уточнил during the CCS press conference.

In addition, in 2026, 184 regional grants are planned across the regions, with a total budget of 215 million tenge.

Over the entire period of the competition, 153 youth projects in various fields have received support.
