The Asian Youth Taekwondo Championship kicked off in Kuching, Malaysia, from July 25 to 28, 2025.

On the first day of the competition, athletes of the Zhaksylyk Ushkempirov Martial Arts Palace of The Republican State Enterprise "Olympic training center by types of wrestling" won 2 gold, 1 silver, and 4 bronze medals.:

Gold medalists:

Ayim Serikbayeva (-42 kg)

Buned Bahramkulov (-45 kg)

Silver medalist:

Togzhan Kaznabek (-59 kg)

Bronze medalists:

Lyubov Yun (-63 kg)

Dulet Rahimolliev (-73 kg)

Egor Shaptefrats (+78 kg)

Nurperzent Samatuly (-48 kg)

It is worth noting that after Rizaev Davranbek's victory at the 2005 Asian Championships in Almaty, Serikbayeva Ayim and Buned Bahramkulov won the gold medal at the tournament.
