Results of the U17 Asian Wrestling Championships: 7 gold, 6 silver, and 7 bronze medals

From June 21 to 26, 2025, the U17 Asian Wrestling Championships concluded in Vung Tau, Vietnam.
Athletes from the RSE «Olympic Training Center by types of Wrestling» of the Martial Arts Palace named after Zhaksylyk Ushkempirov delivered a strong performance, earning a total of 20 medals.

In Greco-Roman wrestling, gold medals were won by: Zhanazhol Kuanyshbek (45 kg), Kumaruly Nurdaulet (48 kg), Akan Damir (60 kg), and Shamil Dosbol (65 kg).
Silver medals went to Toishy Adilet (92 kg) and Zarap Sunkar (51 kg).
Islam Gasymov added a bronze medal to the team’s success in the 71 kg category.

In freestyle wrestling, gold medals were claimed by Ysqaqbek Ibrahim (55 kg) and Asambek Bekasyl (60 kg).
Silver medalists were Sabyrzhan Rakhatov (45 kg) and Nurtai Narov (71 kg), both showing consistent and determined performances.
Bronze medals were earned by Temirlan Murat (48 kg), Dinmukhamed Kasymbek (80 kg), Beibarys Yergali (92 kg), and Riza Izakhar (110 kg), further proving the high level of preparation of the team.

In women’s wrestling, Mukhat Zhaydar won a gold medal in the 61 kg category with a dominant performance.
Silver medals went to Saniya Soltangali (49 kg) and Madhiya Usmanova (51 kg), who demonstrated strong technique and resilience.
Bronze medals were awarded to Inzhu Bakkhozha (40 kg) and Nurayim Sayakhmet (65 kg), marking a strong finish for the women’s team.

It is worth highlighting that Shamil Dosbol became a three-time Asian champion, and Mukhat Zhaydar's victory in the 61 kg category was historic — the first gold in women’s wrestling for Kazakhstan at the Asian Championships since Irina Kapitanova’s win in 2014.

In the team standings, Kazakhstan took 1st place in freestyle wrestling, 2nd place in Greco-Roman, and 4th place in women's wrestling.

These brilliant results are the outcome of our athletes’ dedication and the high-level expertise of the coaching staff.
